Whitestown, IN–Joel David McDaniel, 54, went home to the Lord July 9, 2011 in Houston, TX, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
He was born in Oklahoma August 10, 1956, the son of Joe and Wanda McDaniel. Joel was a graduate of Momence High School. He worked for CBI as a machinist, and later at Light Engineering in Indianapolis, IN. Joel was an avid woodworker, and loved his time as an EMTI on the ambulance in Grant Park.
Joel married Sherrie Frahm on March 24, 1979. They have four children, Jeff, Annette, Jake, and Jason. They also have six grandchildren, Jordan, Audrey, Josh, and Caleb McDaniel, and Ethan and Toby Bopp. He is also survived by his parents and his brothers, Mike and Brian.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 15, 2011 at Grace Community Church, 5504 E 146th St, Noblesville, IN. Friends and family may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.
Harry W. Moore Funeral Care, Indianapolis, is in charge of arrangements.
